The Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences (formerly called Dispensing Technology) is one of the oldest Departments in the University. The Department runs two (2) main programmes namely Higher National Diploma (HND) in Dispensing Technology and Bachelor of Technology in Pharmaceutical Sciences. The Department, which was established in 1975, used to run the Dispensing Technician (DT) Certificate programmes. With the upgrade of the Polytechnics in 1992 by PNDC Law 321, the HND programme in Dispensing Technology was introduced to enhance the capacity of graduates. This was a build-up on
